On the 4th of July, we headed down to Anderson, SC to visit my aunt and uncle for a few days before driving to Atlanta, GA for the wedding of a close college friend. We don't make too many long car trips since most of my family is in the area and Drew's family is too far for driving, so it's not something the kids are used to, but they did a GREAT job!
We stopped in Midway, KY on the way down to visit with some other close college friends, Anthony and Tami Delimpo and their 2 boys, Levi and Colt. Of course we were too busy catching up that we forgot to snap any pictures, but it was sure fun visiting with them. We hadn't met their youngest, Colt yet and they hadn't met Grant, so it was a much needed reunion.
While in SC, we had a great time swimming in their neighborhood pool, boating on a friend's boat (since Uncle Keith and Aunt Mary weren't able to get their boat out of the dock with the low water level), visiting an AMAZING playground, floating/swimming in the lake, and hanging out at the house.

| All packed and ready for the trip |
| I tried to have activities for the kids while in the car. So I put together some bags with toys or activities for them to do. They would get to open a bag every so often. Some bags included pipe cleaners, stickers with some paper, snacks, lacing cards, etc. It went over pretty well - probably better for kids a little older. |
| Some educational file folder games that Jenna could play. It's the first time I pulled them out for her to play with and she really seemed to enjoy it. |
| Of course there were plenty of naps. |

| To get to the neighborhood pool and the friend's dock, the kids and I would pile in their golf cart while Drew and Mary drove. Jenna loved sitting on Uncle Keith's lap and "driving" the cart. Grant even got to "drive" once too. |
| Aunt Mary has a massive coin collection, so Drew was in heaven looking through all that she has! |
| Love him! |
| On the dock, ready to board the boat. |
| Excited to be on a boat |
| Grant did really well on the boat. He enjoyed just sitting and watching what was going on. |
| Jenna helping Uncle Keith co-pilot the boat. |
| Drew is such a natural on skis. You wouldn't know the last time he skied was 3 years ago! |
| Wind-blown and loving it |
| Cooling off in the lake |
| The kids loved jumping off the dock into Daddy's arms. They would only do it with Daddy...nobody else. |
| Jenna got really comfortable in the water and would actually swim back and forth between people. |
| The second day of boating, Jenna and I got out on the tube. |
| She loved the first few minutes of it, but she was sitting on her legs and I think the waves hitting her legs were starting to bother her. So it was short lived, but she enjoyed it while we were out there. |
| Then we decided to go out with Grant and this time Drew joined me. I just held onto Grant in my lap. I wasn't sure what he'd think of it, but he never made a peep. Even with all the spray from the waves in his face, it didn't seem to bother him and I actually think he really enjoyed it. |
| Watching Daddy and Aunt Mary ski. |
| Speaking of a natural, Aunt Mary is amazing on her ski. She only uses one and never falls. She'll just let go of the rope when she's done. Plus she'll go clear out to the side, almost parallel to the boat. It's definitely fun to watch her! |
| Enjoying our time on the boat! |
| I love how the kids are looking at eachother. |
| Snuggles with Aunt Mary |
| Before we left, Uncle Keith cut Grant, Drew, and Jenna's hair. He used to be a barber so it's always nice to get a good cut from him when he's around. |
| Jenna sure enjoyed her morning coffee. It's a special treat for her because we don't fix coffee at home. I don't drink it, and Drew's not one that must have his cup of Joe before heading to work. |
Next up, our trip to Georgia for our good friend, Carrie's wedding.
