Odds and Ends

I have some random pictures on my camera that I thought I'd share with you before I take them off the camera and forget to post them.

After we get back from grocery shopping, I usually put the bags on the floor and Jenna likes to "help" me unpack the bags. I got busy putting things away and when I looked over at her, she had grabbed some yogurt containers and was stacking them one on top of the other, then unstacking them, only to stack them again. It was so funny to watch her!

Pictures of Daddy and Jenna playing in the backyard. She just LOVES being outside, which we're so glad, but it does make it tough on rainy/cold days when she constantly goes to the door and wants out.

Our neighbors (who also go to our church) have 4 kids - 3 boys and 1 girl who is now 6 years old. A few weekends ago, the mom asked us if we'd like an outdoor playhouse that her daughter had outgrown. I was thrilled because that's something that's on my garage sale list for this summer. They brought it over and Jenna just LOVES playing in it. We even ventured outside one day last week when it was a little chilly just so she could play in it some more.

Tomorrow I'll try to post pictures and a video of Jenna riding the Easter train at a local mall.

March Visit with Grandma B and Aunt Cathy

Jenna's Grandma B (Drew's mom) and her Aunt Cathy (Drew's sister) came out for a visit last weekend. I was going to update with pictures, but my wonderful sister-in-law has uploaded them on her blog, which saves me some time! Yay! So if you'd like to see pics of our weekend together, check out her blog at http://chrisncathy.blogspot.com/ .

Thanks Cathy!

Piggy Tails

Jenna's hair is getting so long and out of control. I probably do need to take her to get her 1st haircut, but I just haven't done it yet. Part of me doesn't want to admit she's ready for her 1st hair cut and the other part of me doesn't want to spend the $ if it's not too bad (and I don't trust myself to do it!). Anyway, I realized that I could put her hair in pigtails which helps with the crazy fly-aways that are always in her face. I know I'm biased, but I think she's just too cute with those pigtails!

1st visit to the park

It was finally warm enough for us to spend some time outside, so we decided to go to our neighborhood park on Saturday. Jenna seemed to really enjoy climbing on the playground equipment and going down the slides with Mommy and Daddy. She is looking more and more like a little girl instead of a baby...time sure does fly by too quickly!

Poor little girl

Well, we've got a sickie on our hands. She's actually been sick now for over a week. I took her to the doctor last Friday after she'd been having a fever for a few days, congestion in her nose and chest, and tugging at her ears. We found out she had an infection in her left ear, so she's been on amoxicillin since Friday, but has continued to have a fever and she's now tugging at her right ear, and her chest congestion has progressed into a rather nasty cough. After she woke up this morning with a fever of 102, I decide to take her in - a fever for a week is just too long, especially when she's on an antibiotic. So today we found out that she now has an infection in BOTH ears and a wheezing in her chest. They checked her for RSV, which is a respiratory infection, but that came back negative. So pretty much it's just a glorified cold. She'll now be on a stronger antibiotic for the next 10 days. Hopefully this will take care of it! Poor thing!

Here are just a few pictures from February...

Edit: I started this post yesterday. Today Jenna woke up and seems to maybe be on the "other" side of it. Her nose isn't as runny, she doesn't have much of a fever, and her cough seems to be getting better. Yay!

Random Pictures from January

Two posts two days in a row...wow! I thought I'd post some pictures we've taken of Jenna from January.

These are pics from the first big snowfall we had in early January. (Yes, I know I'm a dork with my jeans tucked into my boots...haha!)

Jenna was not a fan of laying in the snow, nor did she want to learn how to make snow angels.

Jenna LOVES playing the piano with her daddy.

Don't worry...Drew was right next to her in this picture. :)

Yes, she got into the pantry and when I found her she was digging into the raisins...by the fistful!

Daddy let Jenna "have a go" at her yogurt on her own. Needless to say, Mommy was definitely not around during this. Gross! :)

And this face is what my sister so appropriately dubbed "the chucky face". She will randomly make this face at us while breathing like Darth Vader. It is too funny!

Also, here are two more videos from January of Drew and me playing with our little girl. She is such a joy!
