April started out with a bang! Poor Hannah came down with the stomach bug and was not able to keep any food or water in, which resulted in her becoming dehydrated and granted us a stay at the hospital. Thankfully she responded quickly to the fluids and we were able to return home after 24 hours.

| Drew and I had a date night to La Comedia, a local dinner theater. We always enjoy going and it's fun getting all dressed up for a date - not something we get to do often. |

| So I realized Jenna doesn't know how to tie her shoes yet. Something I definitely need to work on with her. Here's a sampling of how she tied her shoes. I guess it accomplishes the goal of not tripping over her laces, but misses the mark on technique. |

| I had a hair appointment on my birthday (which is always a treat - a few hours of quiet to myself), but Drew knows me well. As much as I enjoy quiet time, I much prefer family time. So he and the kids met me at my hair appointment and took me out to dinner. Made my day!! We tried something knew and set Hannah in a booster seat on the bench seat at the restaurant. It worked pretty well. |

| Also for my birthday, Drew planned a weekend getaway to Cincinnati. We were already planning on attending a CP Symposium at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital on Friday, but Drew booked an overnight at a nice hotel Thursday and Friday night. He also planned a "fancy" dinner. So fun! |

| I don't know why we didn't think of this sooner?! Grant loved pulling/pushing Hannah around in the laundry basket, and Hannah loved it as well, in case you couldn't tell from her facial expression. |

| On Letter B week in preschool, we took the kids bowling. |
 |

| And at the end of the month, Hannah finally got her NEW powered wheelchair!!! She LOVES it and we are absolutely thrilled for her! |

| My very active little guy fell a few times and knocked his front tooth loose. I took him to the dentist, but the dentist said it's fine to come out whenever it's ready, so wiggle away! |

| Hannah's speech therapist put pictures of a baby on the mirror and then repeated, "Baby, baby, baby..." while touching each one. Then she would say a few and ask Hannah what it is. I can't remember if she answered or not, but she has said "baby" a few times. Not consistently yet though. |

| Another time where the therapists are working on extending her arm above her head and straightening her arm. Right now her arms stay pretty bent and it's incredibly hard for her to straighten them completely due to her tight muscles. |

| We took a field trip with two other home school families to La Comedia for a special kids lunch program. They performed "The True Story of the Three Little Pigs" where the wolf is on trial, but his story is quite different from the traditional tale. Then at the end, kids are picked from the crowd to serve at the jury and decided whether or not the wolf is guilty. I think the kids enjoyed it! |
