We let Grant choose the theme for his 3rd birthday party and he waffled between Thomas the Train and Toy Story. In the end, Toy Story won. :) "B" was already planning to visit at the beginning of August, so we just delayed the party a few weeks, so she could come. Grant was so excited that B was coming to his party!! :)
Of course I had to decorate and plan the party according to the theme, but I didn't go as "crazy" as I have in the past. :)
| Grant is not a fan of hats or costumes right now, so Jenna donned the birthday party hat for him. :) |
| Three of Grant's Grandmas - B, Maw-Maw, and Gram-Gram. |
| Beverages |
| Bullseye's Watering Hole |
| Al's Cheese Puffs (We don't typically buy these, but since they go along with the party theme we figure we'd indulge). |
| Buzz's Intergalactic Space Balls (Meatballs) |
| Mr. Potato Head's Spare Parts |
| Jessie's Jiggling Jello |
| Rex's Roarin' Raisins |
| Woody's Cowboy Fruit Kabobs |
| Slinky Dogs |
| Pizza from "Pizza Planet" |
| Food Table |
| Boy did he rake in some great gifts!! |
| Love his smile! |
| Jenna wanted to join him for some pictures. |

| Our family of 5 |
| I love making their birthday cakes and even though they're not perfect, it's special to me (and hopefully them too someday). I couldn't find any Toy Story candles, so I just used some miniature toys. The rope around the bottom of the cake was made by partially melting and molding together Tootsie Rolls. Then there's the cowboy bottom layer with the sky layer (it's supposed to emulate Andy's bedroom) on top. |

| Sweet Aiden enjoying his lunch! |
| Cousin Bentley and Uncle Brian |
| Playing with Paw-Paw |
Grant received so many great gifts! He seriously loved them all!
| He got this teeball set from Aunt Kelley and Uncle Brian and wanted to give it a try indoors. So we emphasized that he needed to hit it GENTLY and so he just barely hit the ball. He surprised us with how gently he did hit it! |
| A fun game from Grandma Borton! He LOVES it!!! We've played it just about every day. It's the preschool version of UNO and it's called UNO Moo - very cute! |
| More train tracks from Paw-Paw and Maw-Maw! |
| I love how Hannah's just staring at her grandma so intently. :) |
| B got Grant some more Toy Story toys - a Woody doll with a pull string and his horse, Bullseye!! |
| She also got him this pogo stick. The red part is a thick foam and it squeaks every time you bounce on it. So fun! |
| "Happy Birthday to you..." |
| Time to blow out the candle! |
We had a great time celebrating with family!! And we were so glad B could join us as well!

Such great memories, and I especially loved the rope on the cake made out of tootsie rolls! You are one clever mama, Kristin! Grant is certainly growing up, and yes, that smile is precious and fun! Jenna was the perfect big sister, and Hannah didn't have a clue what was going on - she was just our pretty little darling, and didn't have to know we were celebrating her brother's birthday!
you are impressively creative, Kristin!! I love Grant's joy and boy, is he getting big! Your hair is so long! You look gorgeous! What a fun blog! :)
