Easter Train Ride

I'm a little late posting Jenna's train ride, but for good reason. Drew took Thursday and Friday off this past week so we could do some MAJOR overhauling/rearranging in the house in anticipation of Baby #2's arrival. We bought a new desk and hutch for the kitchen area because the desk we had in there was way too big for the spot, so we assembled the desk, moved the "old" desk down to the basement to use in my scrapbooking area, and moved the desk that was down in the basement up to the garage to sell in our garage sale this summer. We then moved the queen bed in the guest bedroom to the main floor and were planning on moving it on down to the basement when we realized we couldn't fit the box spring down there. When you go down our stairs there's about 3 feet at the bottom before you "hit" the wall and then it splits into two separate rooms. Well, we can't make the turn at the bottom and the ceiling isn't high enough to stand the box spring up to scoot it around the corner so they're now in the garage too. Then we moved a bookshelf and filing cabinet from one side of the basement to the other, and moved a dresser, TV, and TV stand from the upstairs guest bedroom down to the basement. I'll use the dresser in my craft room, but we're still trying to figure out what to do with the TV and stand. We then moved the baby's dresser, changing table, crib, and glider rocker and ottoman up from the basement to the baby's room. Keep in mind in the midst of all this there was complete and utter chaos and disorganization as we're rearranging everything. We have the main floor and the baby's room in decent order, but the basement is another story. That'll probably be my project over the next few weeks. We owe a HUGE thank you to my mom for watching Jenna all day Thursday and Friday while we did this!! There's no way we could have accomplished everything we did with a little toddler running around. Thanks Mom!

Now on to the Easter train ride...some church friends of ours told us about a train ride for kids in a local mall over the Easter holiday. It's only $1 for kids to ride so we thought we'd check it out. Jenna LOVED watching the train go 'round and 'round. She'd just stand there and peer through the gate at it. I decided to ride the train with her because I don't think she's old enough to understand that she needs to sit down. I could see her standing up trying to get off in the middle of it. I have to admit I felt a little silly riding the little train, but that's what Mommies do...silly things to make their kids happy! :)

We went to see the Easter Bunny while we were at the mall, but just couldn't bring ourselves to spend $17 on a few pics of Jenna with the bunny. So we cheated and just took a few pics with the bunny in the background.

I think Jenna had had enough picture taking at this point...

And then Daddy wanted to show Jenna the cool gumball machine. Too bad Jenna couldn't eat the gum afterwards. Poor girl!

Here's a short video of Jenna and Mommy riding the train...
